New Seattle Public Library Opens Sunday

The Seattle Times has a special site set up with photos and Quicktime VR panoramas for the new downtown Seattle Public Library designed by OMA (Rem Koolhaas) and with Bruce Mau for the interior signage. For those of us who are locals, the public opening takes place this Sunday (May 23rd) starting at 10:30.

The photos on the Times site show shots of the interior I haven't seen yet... including the use of brilliant colors and rounded shapes.
